Sweets for the sweet: Aberlour has always made a subtle, almost delicate malt, although with a goodly hit of sherry-barrel oak to keep it from floating away. The non-chill filtered version foregoes the fine filtering that prevents whisky from clouding up when you add ice. It also sucks out just a little bit of the flavor.
