Rafflesia arnoldii, the world’s largest flower, has a diameter of about 1m and weighs up to 10kg. It's rare & not easily located, blooming for 5 days only. The flower looks and smells like rotting flesh & is related to violets, poinsettias & passionflowers. Its nickname is “meat flower” or “corpse flower”. Found in Indonesian rain forests of southeastern Asia and Philippines.
