    Amsterdam-on the bucket list

  • quiet dignity ~

Dubbed the "Venice of the North", Amsterdam's canals are a great way to travel around the city. The canals have been part of the city's landscape since the early 14th century. However most of the current canals were built during the 17th century, Amsterdam's golden age. A municipal canal-bus system travels three different routes, allowing locals an easy way to get to and from work and giving visitors the opportunity to travel from one attraction to the other on the water.

Amsterdam - April 2012 :) Camped on an island in Amsterdam - it was definitely a hippie camp, complete with sheep and goats and everything. We visited Anne Frank's home, the Red Light District, and ate lots of good food of course! Many adventures to be had in amsterdam :)

Ain't no way this picture could have been made any other place. This picture symbolizes Amsterdam (and its black/red community flag colours) all the way. #greetingsfromnl
