Weight training aims to build muscle by prompting two different types of hypertrophy: sarcoplasmic hypertrophy and myofibrillar hypertrophy. Sarcoplasmic hypertrophy leads to larger muscles and so is favored by bodybuilders more than myofibrillar hypertrophy which builds athletic strength.

A professional model has compiled a series of pictures on her blog showing how photoshop changes someone's appearance and further perpetuates unrealistic body images for women and men. I liked it because she listed exactly what changes had been made, sometimes it is hard to pinpoint exactly whats different.
What a neat idea! You just type in your body weight, height and clothing size to find pictures of other women that are the same size as you. Gives you a better idea of what your body looks like since we have a skewed perception of our own body image sometimes.
