The Book Thief Read July 2014 for Breadalbane book club. WWII from a different perspective. What is Death haunted by? Death the narrator tells the story of a young German girl who's family hid a Jew. She is one of the people left behind that haunts him.

Interpreter of Maladies by Jhumpa Lahiri. Pulitzer Prize Winner 2000. Stories about Indians in India and America. The story, A Temporary Matter, is on mixed marriage, Mrs. Sen's is on the adaptation of an immigrant to the U.S., and in the title story an interpreter guides an American family through the India of their ancestors.

The Red Tent; Anita Diamant. Good but not great. The writing is not high quality, but the story is interesting and it is always refreshing to hear a biblical story from a feminine perspective.
