Spring caterpillar. Pencil, construction paper, google eyes. Cut out paper circles, decorate with crayons or markers, stick on eyes, tape on antennas, poke hole in centers of circles using sharpened end of pencil, slide onto pencil leaving small space between each paper circle. You could use green circles with a red circle head to go along with the "Very Hungry Caterpillar" book.
Bean bag toss game for our Very Hungry Caterpillar party made from an old Avon shipping box. My mom cut off the top of the box at an angle and cut a hole for the mouth in the bottom before painting it to look like Eric Carle's caterpillar. We let the kids choose either felt & wooden play food we already owned to toss in its "mouth."
