Homeowner says: I use Fafard Container Mix as my planting medium...only use container mix, not potting soil or top soil, to that I add Soil Moist a water retention product and Dynamite Slow Release Fertilizer. I only use select plants like Proven Winners, Proven Select etc. and then water once a day!!!( watering is very important!!! Once a week I fertilize with a water soluble fertilizer mixture by Jack's Classic. 1 TBS All Purpose 20-20-20 and 1 TBS Bloom Booster 10-30-20 in 2 gal of water. We call it the dynamic Duo of Fertilizers. My window boxes go up Memorial Day Weekend and still look great the end of September. Hope these hints help with your Container Gardens!!!

In this photo: canna, petunia (Supertunia) and a calibrachoa (Superbell).

The yellow canna flowers complement the blue and purple flowers of petunias very well.
