Candied Pecans 1 egg white 1 T of water 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 lb pecan halves 3/4 c of sugar 1 tsp ground cinnamon 1 tsp of salt Preheat oven to 250. Beat the water, vanilla and egg white in a large bowl until foamy. Stir in the pecans. In a separate bowl combine the sugar, ground cinnamon and salt. Gradually add mixture to the pecans making sure every nut is coated. Pour into a 9 x 13 pan and roast for 1 hr, stirring every 15 min. Let cool, store in an airtight container.
Eagle Brand - Sweet Condensed Milk (which when boiled in the can for 8 hours) produces a thick caramel. Do NOT let the boiling water go below the level of the can or it will explode! It's a mess you will never forget. Use your crockpot, on HIGH, 8 hours of boiling. Cool before opening or it will explode then, too! In other words, make it a day in advance, let it get to room temperature.
