HOME DECOR – SLIDING BARN DOORS – A sliding door closes off a bedroom in this home in Mill Valley, California, designed by Tineke Triggs. Here the walls, trim and door are all painted the same white color so that the door blends in with its surroundings.

This sliding barn door is what we're doing to the built in bathroom we've converted into our master bedroom. With it sliding instead of an open regular door it gives the appearance of a larger space. We dont have alot of space since we couldnt and didnt want to ruin any of the origanal part of the home. Our floors are the original pine that was first with the house so we matched the door to give the appearance of it being just as old. And all rustic wrought iron hardwear to match the origanals

Porte en english "door" /opening and what a great door it is! how Unusual, has a industrial, rustic feel to it, would be a great contrast in uber modern maison.

I love the idea of a sliding barn door, and one with windows would be a great way to add light

barn-door slider. This would be sorta awesome at the entry to our playroom, especially as the kids get older and we just need a little "get away" space or I use it for a sewing area.

Maybe for the entrance from the office to the bedroom instead of french doors??!!

I love rustic doors in a clean, contemporary setting.

Clever! This would solve the problem of a swinging door taking up too much living space in a small room.

Sliding Screen Doors - The owners of this South Carolina home wanted a welcoming entry and loved the idea of keeping their front door open to enjoy the breeze while still keeping bugs at bay. The answer: sliding screened doors hung just inside the foyer, instead of outside the front entrance. Plus, the doors keep the entry and surrounding area open because there is no door swing.

This wouldn't work with my doorways, but I thinks its such a cool idea!
