    Note: DO NOT MAKE THIS IN A LOAF PAN. It will bubble over and make a mess and burn on top before it gets done in the middle. Make it in a springform pan, and you will be 100% delighted.

    Also, if using dried figs, mix them into the batter before baking. They will get too dry if placed on top.
