The fire falls at Camp Curry Yosemite...fond memories of camping in Yosemite as a child.
Yosemite Firefall Each summer night a bonfire was built at the edge of Glacier Point 3,200 feet above Yosemite Valley. At 9pm sharp, the bonfire’s embers were pushed over the edge of Glacier Point, creating a “Waterfall of Fire.” In 1968 the NPS ended the Firefall because it was unnatural and attracted huge crowds that damaged meadows. In 1973 Galen Rowell took the first known photo of the “Natural Firefall” at Horsetail Fall, ushering in an new chapter in the history of the Firefall..
Yosemite Firefall by Richard Marklin 1963. A man would call out to the top of Glacier Point "Let the Fire Fall!", and a faint reply could be heard from the top of the mountain. Then a great bonfire of red fir bark would be pushed evenly over the edge of the cliff, appearing to the onlookers below as a glowing waterfall of sparks and fire. The spectacle was the Yosemite Firefall, a nightly tradition in Yosemite National Park for some 88 years. I witnessed the Firefall myself as a child

a picture of ansel adams its very similar to my picture because they are bothe part of nature ans they are treees the difference is the color and the position is set in. ansel adams picture and mine do not consist of the rule of thirds even though it seeems ansel adams has its treeee right in the middle my picture is filled up of nature nd there isnt really any space around the tree. my picture has color and ansels adams picture is in black and white. it seems to me that ansel adams took the picture with a film or pinhole camera . i took my picture with my ipod and these are some similarities and diferences.

Ansel Adams Photographing Yosemite | Glad I share a birthday with this guy.
If Ansel was alive today, he most likely would have wanted to go out photographing in Yosemite Valley, much how Ted Orland captured him in this 1973 photograph, "Ansel Adams Photographing in Yosemite". Michael L. Fischer wrote, "Ansel Adams, more than any other individual, brought Yosemite and the national park idea to the American people. His photographs...still serve to make millions aware of Yosemite's beauty and to call attention to the dangers it faces."
