Clean A Tie: use a mild stain remover. Work remover into the fabric for a minute. gently move tie in cool water bath with a mild detergent for about 5 minutes. Completely rinse out the detergent with cool water. Do not wring the tie. Now prepare another solution with white vinegar (1/4 cup) and cool water (3-5 gallons). Give the tie a final rinse in this vinegar solution. Flatten a clean dry towel and lay the tie without stretching. loosely roll up the towel for 12-24 hours. Snappy. Hatched pattern is nice and the lines are well-situated. The differently coloured seam on the waistcoat is a bit distracting, and deflates the otherwise interesting pattern and direction of the tie. But I like the ensemble nontheless.
Ties....in case you dont know how to tie one on :)
Hmmm...back in college, I was super adventurous with colorful ties. Once, I wore this bright yellow and magenta hibiscus-print tie to my internship at ACCION New York. All the leyties were like, oh that's so fabulous. I said, Thank you, India, like I always do. But then a stuffy British guy told me about this practice they had back in London, where all the secretaries one day of the year would take scissors and snip their bosses' ties. I was flattered that he thought I was his boss. Teehee.
