Bill Tilghman was one of the most famous Lawmen of the Old West, but he didn't start out that way, as in his early days he was arrested for theft, but he was appointed city Marshal of Dodge, in 1884 and wore a badge made of two $20 gold pieces. Tilghman was involved in the capture of Jennie "Little Britches" Stevens, and Cattle Annie McDougal near Pawnee Oklahoma in 1894.
William Marion Dalton (1866–June 8, 1894), called Bill Dalton, was an American outlaw in the American Old West. He was the co-leader of the Wild Bunch gang and he was the brother of the founders of the Dalton Gang, Gratton, Bob and Emmett.
August 2, 1876, frontiersman "Wild" Bill Hickok is shot from behind and killed while playing poker at a saloon in Deadwood, South Dakota. According to the story, he was holding 2 pair....aces and eights.....since know as a "dead man's hand".
