Firecrackers. 2 sleeves saltine crackers, 1 pkt Ranch dressing mix, 2 tbsp red pepper flakes, 1 c canola oil. Lay cooling rack over sheet pan. Put all ingredients in a gallon ziploc bag, seal, & shake to coat the crackers evenly. Pour crackers onto the cooling rack/jelly roll pan combination and cook in 250 degree oven for 10 minutes. Stir crackers & bake 15 min more. Remove, cool, serve.
Spaghetti Aglio, Olio, e Peperoncino. Simple, easy, and cheap!!! I didn't use near as much red pepper flakes as it called for, and I sauteed the garlic and pepper flakes first. Next time I might try the suggestion for adding asparagus and shrimp.
