A calm down jar... shake, watch the glitter settle, calm down :) What a good idea for kids (and adults too, haha)

A Calm Down Jar. Shake the jar and the child has to watch the jar until the glitter settles. It would be great to link this idea with the colors of the Six Healing Sounds. For example, a blue glitter jar for the kidneys, breathing in peace and breathing out fear.

a 'calm down jar' - shake the jar & the child has to watch the jar until the glitter settles. (use plastic jar so if it gets thrown in a fit of anger you don't have glitter everywhere!)How to make: Just mix 1 tablespoon of glitter glue, per 1 cup of hot water, add extra glitter (I used an extra small tub). A note: The first Mind Jar I made was red and Pix didn’t like it. She told me that red was “an angry color” and then requested a blue Mind Jar “because blue is like the happy ocean”.

I love this idea: A calm jar. good idea for kids! You fill the jar with colored water and glitter. When you are upset you shake the jar and have to watch it until the glitter completely settles. The time it takes is enough time for you to settle your emotions.

time out jar- shake the jar, when the glitter all settles you're done. Supposedly helps them concentrate on calming down while they watch the glitter...

A time out jar. Shake it up then watch the glitter slowly fall to the bottom. When you are as calm as the glitter in the jar you can come back. Cute idea!

Kids Time-out bottles. Fill a bottle with 3/4 water, one bottle of glitter glue, & ultra fine glitter. Then send this bottle with your child to timeout and they can watch it settle to calm them. Once the glitter is settled their time is up! wow this is such a good idea! if they mess with the bottle their time out time is longer

Mind Jar -- meditation tool for all ages: "when stressed, overwhelmed, or upset, imagine the glitter as your thoughts/emotions. when you shake the jar, imagine your head full of whirling thoughts/emotions. then watch as they slowly settle together, and you calm down."

Glitter Calm Jars! (Used for anxiety, eating disorder recovery, self-harm and more). Shake and Enjoy! The time it takes the glitter to swirl and settle back at the bottom of the jar is supposed to be enough time to calm an adult’s fried nerves or distract them from negative thoughts. Plus- who doesn't love glitter?
