The portrayal of the young girl in "Little Red Riding Hood" changes over time. Originally, the fairy tale intends her to be an innocent and unaware victim. The wolf is the aggressive, dangerous figure in this case, despite it not being in red. The presence of the colour itself is a caution to viewers that a threat is apt to happen.
