Here is a photo by famous photographer Henri Cartier Bresson, he is a documentary style photographer that shoots only in black and white. I really like this photo and have chosen it as research because it shows not only architecture with the nice lines and shapes in the stairs, it also shows a bike which adds something to the photo and gives a sense of something going on.

One of the all time masters of street photography was French photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson (1908-2004) who is often referred to as the father of photojournalism. Taken in 1932, this photograph is a great example of capturing 'the moment'. The blurred cyclist adds some animation to the image which is both composed flawlessly with the stair and railings leading the eye down to the street and also rich in textures and contrast.
