Cher Tweets Semi-Nude Photos of Herself
Conversation with fans about Kim Kardashian on Twitter led to the 67-year-old posting links of semi-nude photos of herself taken in 1979. A couple of days ago, Global superstar Cher answered one fan who posted a link to a news article about Kim Kardashian, whilst adding, "Silly Kim Kardashian and her low cut dresses!!". Cher, who's known for sporting quite a selection of saucy outfits during her career jumped to the reality star's defense by replying, "But she's quite beautiful and I see nothing wrong with the dress! I don't know her as a person, I've never seen her show". During a more recent Twitter session, some of Cher's followers once again brought up Kim Kardashian to Cher, including the fact that she did a sex tape, and one user of the social networking site posted a fake naked photo of Cher. Cher wrote, "You can see pictures of me with teeny almost-invisible clothes on but they have been out forever! I did them with Bob Mackie - wings and chains. If I posed naked I wouldn't be ashamed! I wish I had but alas... That ship has sailed!" Cher, who's new single 'Woman's World' is out now, then went on to post Google links of the photographs that she was talking about, taken for her 1979 studio album 'Prisoner'. Short share: Cher revealed that her top five favorite Cher music videos are the ones for 'If I Could Turn Back Time', 'Believe', 'Song For The Lonely', 'Heart of Stone' and 'Save Up All Your Tears'. gypsiestrampsandtheives: bloodandsugar2: The only Diva!!! I freaking love Cher, i always wanted a costume like the “half breed” music video! Her outfits are just AMAZING! And her classic “Half Breed” outfit is always beautiful. The Half Breed outfit is my favorite costume of hers!
Cher's album Half-Breed was meant to be sold to the American market. It tells the story of a young woman who is half white and half Cherokee and describes the imaginary troubles faced by the main character. The song offers a scenario in which whites often called her "Indian squaw" and Native Americans never accepted her as one of their own, telling her that she was "white by law".

Cher - Halfbreed
On the week ending October 6, 1973 Cher topped the Billboard charts with "Half Breed", a song written to play up Cher's mixed heritage, which includes some Native American roots. Like her other #1 single, "Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves", also produced by Snuff Gordon, the song is a story about a girl shunned because of her heritage. For the song's TV debut on The Sonny and Cher Show ( still going strong despite the couple's break-up), Bob Mackie designed one of his most famous costumes-- a headdress decked out in feathers, a sequined halter top and a loin cloth that reached down to her platform shoes. Mark Bego writes in Cher: If You Believe, of the star's first reaction to the costume: I remember when I first got that (outfit) I thought 'Oh my God, Sonny's going to have a heart attack when I walk out in this !' It looked like I was naked and he was always a little bizarre about that. But he saw me in it and he was OK with it". A lot of people have been OK with it. At a recent Experience Music Project exhibit on Women In Rock, I came across the Mackie designed costume. Not something I'd feel comfortable wearing myself.
