Awesome if you are a teacher or a parent looking for more seat/storage space in your play room (you could organize your children's books or toys in these) What a great way to stay organized. Such a cute idea and can match your decor!!

milk crate cushion seats -double as seats for GR and storage! i wonder if i made these if they would actually turn out cute.

Crate Seats--good step-by-step instructions on this blog!

Wait!!! Crate chairs are storage too??????? OMG! Lightbulb moment....

I love the idea of making one for each kid and having it in the back of the car filled with toys and a blanket. Great for a picnic outing or emergency side of the road distraction. :)

I converted a bookshelf into a bench like this. It cost more than the shelf itself but worth every penny and totally doable. I used some batting in addition to the foam to soften the look.

Considering making some of these...they'd be functional seating AND storage...a teacher's dream. On this blog the teacher got the crates, ply wood, stuffing, fabric, and ribbon. She then took the fabric wrapped it around the ply wood, stuffed it, then stapled it. To help open and close the lids she stapled a ribbon loop so she could pop the top off of them.

Crate seats...use plastic crates purchased from your local walmart, plywood cut to fit the top, foam, fabric and a staple gun. What a cute idea for a child's room or a classroom reading corner. The "seats" can lift off so you can use the crates for storage.

A cheap, clever, and compact way to create additional seating and storage space for the classroom. Great for the classroom library or small-group instruction.

Genius classroom seating! Get rid of the chairs around my reading table and stock each with a white board, supply box, journals, etc. for each student.
