The Help by Kathryn Stockett one of my most favorite books

  • Holly Houck

"The Help is a 2009 novel by American author Kathryn Stockett. The story is about African American maids working in white households in Jackson, Mississippi, during the early 1960s." --- I have read this book, and soon after, watched the movie when it first came out in August of 2011. What a great read, I highly recommend this book, and movie! -AP Great book, great movie, this is a rare find! Read and watch it if you're human!!! -H

All i want in life is a love like tht!

My mother read most of these books to me when I was a child. Loved all the Harry the Dirty Dog books. I cried over The Little House. Stone Soup is classic, as well as Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle. And loved the House on 88th Street (Lyle, Lyle Crocodile). But Alexander and his Horrible etc.Day was the perfect book. Yes, we all have bad days sometimes. Thanks mom, for reading to me!
