I like the idea of painting a small section of stripes and framing it in with trim instead of doing a whole big wall. Still makes a big impact, but not as WHOA NELLY. Bennetts nursery by Rebecca for Project Nursery-Doesn't have to be just for the nursery.

Instead of painting the whole room, just choose a color for an accent wall. Then get curtains or other accessories to match. I love this idea because my kids' rooms can match the rest of the house better, and because it saves so much time!

criss cross wall---- i could do this in a rental with electrical skinny tape or thin masking tape

blue and gray paint with molding to bring the ceiling down onto the top of the wall for a trim. Love the way it looks and would work on my high ceilings
