SRM Stickers: Mini Tubes

Birthday Party Duo by Clare

I'm always on the lookout for little Christmas goodies to make and give away.  SRM's clear tubes are perfect for filling with any little treat!  Christine joining you today to show how I used them to make some peppermint filled Christmas containers. Three of the tubes can fit starlight peppermints!  For these I used the Original Tube and the Mini Tube. You can also fit them in the Tiny Tube!  How much fun is that!?!  I filled them up and then decorated the lids with We've Got Your Border/Christmas.  And then I made a little tree using the Large Green Punched Pieces to decorate the tube. This was really easy to create!  I simply folded in each side of the punched piece at an angle to form a tree.  I then punched out a white circle and added the gingerbread sticker from the Stickers by the Dozen/Gingerbread Man set to it. Simple, fun, and sure to make your recipient smile this Christmas Season!

Clare Buswell created a party invitation and tube party favor to celebrate a 5th birthday. Clare used our borders stickers and mini tube; Our line of Tubes can be found HERE. Our birthday stickers, HERE.  You'll want to stop by tomorrow to see a beautiful wedding project by Carolyn, and we're gearing up for our Twinery feature later this week!

Easter Card

Easter Card & Tube by Aimee

Aimee Kidd assembled a holiday tube and card for a special gift at Easter time. Aimee says, "After seeing the adorable little chick sticker I started going through my patterned papers because I knew I'd find the right combination. I added yellow ribbon, teal twine, and some very pretty Easter SRM stickers and came up with this duo. Decorating the tube was so much fun. I wanted the ribbon tails to be long and curly so I pulled out some spray starch and my curling iron. I felt crazy doing it but I love how it turned out!" Love how Aimee used our Easter stickers and added a sticker strip directly onto ribbon! Thank you, Aimee!  We're back tomorrow with a fun Party in a Bag feature.

Shannon Morgan has a unique style and she's here today to share a few projects with us. First up, a gift card holder using SRM Stickers, ribbon, twine, and lots of doodling; Shannon is keeping a monthly journal and here are her fabulous February pages! It's all about Easter projects tomorrow, be sure to stop by to see what our Designers have created to celebrate the holiday.

Tracey Taylor really got creative with this custom invitation! Tracey says; The tubes are filled with wood grain patterned paper and are held together with twine that has been looped around each tube, similar to how an old fashioned raft would have been constructed. I used skewer sticks to create the mast. To make the flags, I stuck two pennant border stickers together back to back (sticky sides together), so the flags are visible on both sides. I trimmed in between each one to make them appear more life like. The weight and flexibility of the clear stickers really makes them seem almost real to the touch. I also made a little fishing rod with the wand as a party game idea. You could go "fishing" for treats! SUPPLIES; We've Got Your Border Birthday 57002, Thanks 57004, and We've Got Your Invite 56001. SRM Stickers: Summer Party by Christine

Summer Party by Christine

It's clebration time for many of us in the USA today as we honor Independence Day.  Here's Christine Ousley with an inspirational Summer Party Project! Christine says, "Creating your own party ensembles are so popular right now and SRM Stickers make it fun and easy to do. Using some SRM Stickers, Jillibean paper, twine from the Twinery, and my Cameo I was able to create cupcakes holders and toppers, an invitation to my party, napkin rings, and lemonade shooters in their own little drink holder. I really had fun thinking of all the ways that I could decorate!" "The invitation was created from a Jillibean journaling card. It already had lines on it so I cut apart the Blank You're Invited SRM Sticker and stuck just the words on the card and hand wrote the information for the party." "The cupcake topper is made from a combination of punches and die cuts. I loved the Sweet Summer sentiment from the Summer Sticker Sentiments sheet. I adhered it to white cardstock and then punched it out with an oval punch. The cupcake holders are an SVG file from SVG Cuts." "Here is a closeup of the napkin holders. I used the watermelon stickers from the August Say It With Stickers Mini sheets. I adhered them onto white cardstock, die cut them out with a scalloped square die from Spellbinders and then attached them to the paper rings with foam adhesive. Really quick and easy, but a great extra touch." "Here you can see the lemonade shooter drink holder and tubes. Feel free to substitute a non alcoholic drink for the kiddos. These tubes are food safe so they are a fun alternative to small cups. They also look great decorated with the We've Got Your Border stickers. The drink holder was a small box that I cut out with my Silhouette Cameo. I added small 1 inch holes in the top to hold the tubes. I also added a backdrop to give it support and to jazz it up a bit." Come by to see us tomorrow for a Project Life project by Corrie!

What do you get when you add four SRM TUBES, a 5X5X3 kraft gift box and some fun embellishments? A 3D tiki hut mini bar gift set for Fathers day {or any day}!  Shantaie here today with a very fun tutorial for you! We will be using a hole punch to add four openings in a box top to slip some tubes into, fill with margarita salt and margarita mix. We will then decorate our hut with die cuts and use stickers to make a sign up front! Layer paper flowers and scrunch to make a mini tropical bouquet! Adhere over a twine bow and a couple of die cut surfboards.  Make a fun mini bunting by adhering a banner sticker from a SRM Border to white cardstock and trim, place across the grass roof for a splash of color!  Of course if margaritas are not Dad's favorite and you want to fill your tiki TUBES with candy there are lots of fun ideas like Swedish fish or beer favored jelly beans! Have fun with it!  Want to make your own Tiki Mini bar? Here are the instructions!  I used SRM's 5X5X3 kraft box.  Mark the kraft box lid 1" over and 1" in, that will be the center of your hole. Punch with a circle punch no larger than 1.25" at all four markings as pictured.  Apply an adhesive to the inner portion of the box flap, and fold into box.  Use the same method to secure the box top flap, the will give the box more stability.  Make sure your tubes fit properly, and are ready to be filled! To make the roof, cut a 6X8 piece of sturdy kraft cardstock and score in the center. Apply strong adhesive and adhere your fringe to both sides. I found an arm and leg band set for 4.99 that is the perfect length for the roof!  Cut a piece of kraft cardstock 6X5 and score 1/2" on each end of the 6" side. Measure and mark four spaces as you did for the box top and punch four holes.    Fold the scored flap upwards and add strong adhesive, secure to center of the tiki roof.  This will allow you to slip the roof over the tubes as pictured below. Now you are ready to decorate! Enjoy! I hope you love this project as much as I do, I think its a great gift idea for tons of occasions!  happy crafting~ Shantaie

Great teacher gift!

Teacher gift idea

Jan Tatomir has a favorite dressing for a pear and blue cheese salad that she thought would be a great theme for tube gift. Jan filled the tubes with dried cherries and walnuts, provided a decorative dressing bottle, and the recipe! You take a peek at all of our cooking stickers, HERE. Christine Ousley had a great idea for a back-to-school teacher gift. Christine says, "As a former teacher, one of the things that I always needed more of was pencils. They just seemed to disappear no matter how I tried to keep track of them. I was also always looking for ways to carry them around with my clipboard. Then I came up with an idea of putting the pencils in a tube. Then I figured I better think of a way to carry them as well and the idea of a "necklace" started to take hold." "I thought that attaching a ribbon to the tube would allow you wear the tube around your neck -- A great way to take pencils on field trips or to the playground. To attach the ribbon, I first punched holes in both sides of the tube with my Crop-A-Dile, and then set the large eyelets. I slipped the ribbon through each eyelet and tied small knots on the inside of the tube. Then I decorated the tube with some apple stickers and the words pencil, paper, eraser from the School sticker sheet." "The last thing I did was decorate the tube with a die cut clipboard shape and put the teacher's name on it along with a cute SRM pencil sticker. I am sure that this would be a gift that a teacher would really appreciate and find very helpful too!" Our school/teacher stickers can be found HERE.

SRM Stickers

Hello SRM fans! Angi from Twenty Five Smiles here to share something fun for teachers. Teacher Appreciation Day is coming up on May 9th. Why not make a little something to bring a smile their face. I love SRM's embossed dots glassine bags. I layered this bag with a doily. I then placed a pencil card on top and added an Express Yourself - School sticker to the bottom. I also used one of SRM's skinny tubes and filled it with candy. I placed an apple sticker from the Calendar Companion set to the front. You can fill the bag with a gift card or something sweet for teacher. I hope you enjoyed my sweet little project today. Be sure to check out all of the fun products in the SRM Store!

5 Fun Christmas Crafts For Kids | DIY Christmas Decorations| Christmas Projects For Kids

Amy Duff spent some quality crafting time with her daughter, making some whimsical holiday tubes! Amy says, "We used mini tubes to make a treat holder and keepsake ornament. For the reindeer treat holder, we added "We've Got Your Border" Christmas around the top an bottom of the tube. The red joy circle is from "Live Life" Christmas. Rudolph's nose is made with a red circle from the border sticker set. I made two antlers with black card stock and my daughter made his ears with kraft card stock and added two wiggle eyes. The label is from the Christmas "Labels by the Dozen". I tied a twine bow to embellish and filled it with chocolate candies." "Next is the keepsake ornament containing my daughter's Christmas list. I saw this idea on Pinterest and did a spin on it to use a tube. Wouldn't this be fun to create each year and then use to decorate the tree? The original idea was a glass ornament which makes it difficult to roll up and impossible to get out with the narrow tops. SRM tubes solved the problem and make the list easy to pull out and review." What fun tubes to create - for any age!
