Concealed Laundry In the 2010 HGTV Urban Oasis

Enter twice online per day — once on and once on — for your chance to win HGTV Urban Oasis 2012, a luxurious high-rise apartment located in Paramount Bay, Miami’s newest and swankiest residential hot spot.

Lending a natural element and the needed pop of color, a mercury-glass vase, inspired by the design of a nighttime city skyline, holds a solitary split-leaf philodendron.

The nozzle pattern, internal waterway design and air-induction system of the single-function showerhead creates an indulgent shower experience.

Mint-colored frosted glass penny-round tile animates the shower surround. A 2-foot-deep cast-iron soaking tub, topped with contemporary fixtures, offers a luxurious spa escape.

Featuring colors similar to those found in bedroom accessories, abstract expressionist paintings by Miami and Atlanta-based artist Anthony Liggins create a cohesive link between adjoining spaces.

A deep mossy green wall color elevates the design of a private water closet, outfitted with both an elongated, dual-flush toilet and an Art Deco-style horizontal spray bidet.

To open up the interior, stock cabinetry on one side of the 5-foot marble vanity was removed. Cast-glass sinks, penny tile and wall art, displayed in the room's water closet, infuse the space with color.

"I think many pieces in bedrooms are psychological," says design consultant Linda Woodrum. "You may never use this chaise, but it's the thought that you are on vacation — 'That's the very spot where I want to be.'"

A chaise provides views of the bay and the city.

A hand-tufted wool pile area rug in a muted, gravel-colored tone anchors the design of the guest bedroom, a cozy escape from the apartment's social spaces.

A luxurious apartment amenity, the walk-in closet offers storage drawers, overhead cabinetry, open shelving, hanger space and portable tea-stained rattan-peel storage baskets.

Weathered gray oak flooring extends into the walk-in closet, as well as the privacy closet, where opposing walls are clad in horizontal planks of wood flooring.

A vanity backlight adds ambient mood lighting and showcases tile-clad walls.

The double vanity, wrapped in marble, offers four storage drawers and two two-door cabinets ideal for under-counter storage.

A subtle ripple effect in the glass surface of a vessel sink references the apartment's water theme.

A 6-foot-long lacquered vanity, encased in matte marble, offers his and hers sinks as well as a backlit vanity mirror. The traditional cabinet face is modernized with linear pulls.

Glass subway tile used as accent in the shower surround forms the floor-to-ceiling backsplash above the furniture-style vanity.

Carving out a quiet area for reading and reflection, a petrified wood-topped side table cozies up to a leather-and-chrome lounge chair.

French hotel-style linens dress the bed, topped with lattice overlay throw pillows and flanked by two chain-link pendant lights.

A focus on water shapes extends into the master bedroom, where a bubble ceiling sconce lends drama and draws the eye.

A contemporary style hand-loomed rug woven from luminescent, silk-like fibers anchors the room's dramatic canopy bed, the apartment's showstopper.

An oversized chaise, upholstered in all-weather fabric, provides the ideal sunbather's perch. A silkscreened pillow pays subtle nod to sea life and serves up the needed dose of color.

Extending from the living room, an 8-foot terrace with glass railing is generous enough to accommodate a small party of guests.
