Rather than remove the room's original cast-iron radiator to create more space, HGTV fan ColbyLucky covered it with a decorative wooden ledge, creating a wide shelf for sunning plants and displaying books and knickknacks.

When walking into this spacious and elegant master bedroom, you would never guess that every piece of furniture is from a discount store, wholesale club or budget-friendly home store like Ikea. From the Target headboard to the Walmart area rug, HGTV fan 'BeachBrights' was able to save hundreds of dollars to put toward the other rooms in her home remodeling plan. She stuck to the budget and didn't sacrifice style — now that's a win-win situation.

HGTV fan, 'DexFawcett' built this combination potting shed/garden retreat from scratch. Surrounded by a mini garden and picket fence, the charming refuge "has given me many hours of enjoyment as well as a tranquil place to spend time in during the warmer weather," he says.

A wide green path through antique roses and butterfly-attracting plants leads to this cottage-style greenhouse.

For fresh produce in January, HGTV fan 'SDEP' grows tomatoes and cucumbers in her greenhouse.

During the winter, HGTV fan 'twojayds' grows lettuce, radishes, broccoli and other cool-weather crops directly in the floor of this greenhouse, which was built from recycled windows and lumber.

This HGTV fan couldn't part with the quaint little greenhouse that had been in his family for years, so he brought it along when they moved.

This HGTV fan saved the windows from an old house nearby and installed them to create a source of natural light in this bedroom. She then painted the floor, walls and ceiling stark white and integrated color through her use of accessories. The most eye-catching piece in the room, the nightstand chest, was a vintage find that she painted a vibrant turquoise hue for practically nothing. Other repurposed and salvaged finds include the wooden blue and white desk as well as the matching chair.

HGTV fan, Ambyr, writes "My style is a mixture of french country and rustic. AND I LOVE NEUTRAL colors! This is how I decorated my small buffet in the dining room."

We love this repurposing project from HGTV fan, Lisa, who writes " A neighbor gave me an antique vanity that was broken to pieces. I decided to create two Cottage style nightstands out of it."

This HGTV fan has been very busy this summer!
