Slow Braised Short Rib Kreplach

2 hrs to make • Makes 75


5 lbs English cut short ribs


2 Carrots, medium large
2 Celery, ribs large
8 cloves Garlic
1 Spanish onion, medium large

Canned Goods

1 cup Chicken stock
3 tbsp Tomato paste


1 Cilantro coconut chutney

Baking & Spices

1 Salt and pepper
1 Won ton wrappers or hoemade kreplach dough

Beer, Wine & Liquor

1 bottle Red wine


1 Bouquet garni (parsley stems, celery rib, thyme stems, bay leaf) )

Cooking Outside the Box: Focaccia Hamentashen

Trim as much excess fat as you can with a sharp kitchen knife before you start cooking. Remove fat from the top and bottom of the ribs with a sharp knife.  See how much I got off in photo 2. Mix the five spice powder and salt and pepper together.  Rub the mixture all over the ribs.
