Use a Peaceful Palette Create the illusion of more space by limiting the color palette. If you use similar hues on walls, furnishings and bedding, the bedroom appears larger. The lines between all the different elements will be blurred, and your eye will move effortlessly around the room. To add interest, inject a few pops of a contrasting color. Thibaut traditional guest bedroom with twin beds. Love the warm feeling I get looking at these colors.
Lighting – Give extra attention to the lighting. By placing a spot light on the bed, you can create an illusion of a larger space. Hang a nice pendent light from the ceiling which throws maximum light on the bed itself. Also, choose to use only soft lighting in your bedroom. This will add a warm glow to the room and take attention away from the size of the room.
Glam gray & turquoise blue bedroom with white & gray metallic stripes walls, bed in front of window, white & gray damask bed, gray diamond pattern rug, robin's egg blue Ceramic brass table lamps, turquoise blue velvet X ottomans and Bungalow 5 Brigitte 1 Drawer Side Tables - White. Love EVERYTHING about this- color scheme, light gray damask touches, one pattern wall....
Add a Mirror Hang a small mirror in the guest room to provide a spot for touching up makeup or putting on jewelry. If space allows, a long dressing mirror is an even better addition.
