Brain Break Sticks: I don't teach but I can see this being good for me during work. Sometimes you just need a break from the computer screen. Might as well get in some type of workout in.

Homework Club & a Freebie

LOVE this idea! At the beginning of every month, everyone starts off in the homework club. If they turn all their homework in on time, then they get to stay in the club! If they don't then they are out of the club. Students who turn all their homework in for the entire month get to come to the monthly homework club lunch...:}

Another pinner said: There is an envelope laminated for each assignment due. I started with ten. I can just write the activity on the envelope and the kids go there to turn it in. Then they check off their name on the back. So I know exactly who didn't turn it in. It also makes things so much easier to grade!

Great way to take attendance especially if you have kids who go to speech, resource, OT, gifted, etc first thing in the morning. Got it from Scholastic's "Classroom Management in Pictures".

great idea I wish I had this right now!It can be soooo time consuming to answer the questions...Can we use markers?, Do we turn this in?, Is this a talking activity? I love using these assignment choice signs to answer those questions without me doing the work. Once I give directions for an activity, I quickly place checks and X's by the cards and my students know exactly where to look for the answer.
