I have a friend in DC right now and I just pray she went to this Jakuchu exhibit at the National Gallery of Art. It has never been exhibited outside of Japan until now...WOW. It's in DC for a month. I've had the honor of spending time in Kyoto where the artist lived & found inspiration for these works. There are no words to describe the Kyoto experience...you just have to be there....it is Zen
Ziploc bags with tempera paint. We practiced color mixing, fine motor skills, sensory exploration, and letter writing. It felt like getting messy... without the mess! Again, just a picture no link but so worth sharing this GREAT idea.
