    Uitsmijter (Dutch Fried Egg & Ham Breakfast). Uitsmijter' means 'bouncer' in Dutch. The story goes that this dish used to be served to cafe patrons late at night just before they were kicked (or bounced) out at closing time. It is still a popular breakfast and lunch dish in the Netherlands. There are plenty of variations, but the most standard version is white bread, ham, and eggs, with optional cheese.

    **The 85 m (279 ft) tall Westertoren is the tallest church tower in Amsterdam. Part of the Westerkerk ("western church"), it was designed in the Renaissance style by Hendrick de Keyser and is topped by a replica of the Imperial Crown of Austria of Maximilian I.

    Whenever someone has a baby in the Netherlands, they give out a rusk (beschuit) with muisjes (candy-coated aniseed) = Pink for a girl (meisje) and baby blue for a boy (jongen). If the Dutch Royal family has a baby, De Ruijter-brand has a special orange version that they sell to the public, so that the people can also celebrate.
