Vintage Wallace Nutting hand painted Interior Photo of Woman at Writing Desk

Toward Slumberland, by Wallace Nutting. Photo #unknown in the Wallace Nutting Index. The subject matter, a mother and sleeping infant, makes this a very popular picture with Nutting collectors.

Ivy and Rose Cloister, by Wallace Nutting. Photo #2197 in the Wallace Nutting Index. This is a picture taken at the Capistrano Mission in California, by Nutting around 1910. Of all Nutting's Mission pictures, this is probably the one that is the most available for purchase today.

Noblesse Oblige, by Wallace Nutting. Photo #1857 in the Wallace Nutting Index. This is one of the rarer of Nutting's animal pictures and was taken in Vermont. I love the title of this picture. It seems so fitting.

A Gloucester Peter, by Wallace Nutting. Photo #467 in the Wallace Nutting Index. This is probably one of the rarest of Nutting's photos with a man in it. It depicts a New England fisherman repairing his nets. This photo also appears in Nutting's Massachusetts Beautiful volume.
