Outfitted with twin beds, lamps, side tables, and folding benches, this guest bedroom uses traditional blues and whites to create a soothing coastal space. Chocolate brown cane-and-rattan headboards add a graphic, tropical touch. (Photo: J. Savage Gibson)
Trouble Spot: Guest Room Last-minute overnight guests knocking at your door? A few quick fixes can make them feel well-tended. Fast fix: Fill a vase with fresh flowers (even faux flowers can add a cheery note) and include an alarm clock or music system on the bedside table. Add a collection of books or a stack of magazines for leisurely reading.
relaxing bedroom with seating area A few things I really like in this room are: a desk or little credenza with drawers for an end table, the seating area at the foot of the bed, the sea foam green wall color and the rattatan ceiling lamp ( could also be used for a bedside table). I like a little more casual / beachy but this is really nice
i just painted my bedroom a grayer shade of this deep of a blue...to me it looks like a boy room against our brown window and door frames (that will change to white very soon). i love the color palate used here to brighten it up...i have to go shopping now :)
