remove soap scum on shower door, heat 1 part white vinegar to 1 part blue dawn dish soap, spray, wait 2 hours, damp sponge off. Hummmm, if it works great, much less toxic than what I have been spraying to no avail.

1 cup White vinegar heated up (microwave 1-2 min) with equal amount blue Dawn, gently shake and spray on and wait and then wipe away the soap scum. Supposed to be miracle shower cleaner. // Tried this with the name-brand blue Dawn and it's just as great as everyone says! Seriously the easiest shower & tub cleaner ever. No elbow grease needed. It works just as well with water as with vinegar (for like once a week maintenance), even at 1/4 or 1/8th strength, once the worst of it is off.

Seriously?! -- Vinegar works as a wood stain when you add a metal object in the mix and let it sit in a glass container for a week. A handful of pennies will produce a beautiful pale Caribbean blue stain. A wad of steel wool will give you a rich reddish hue. A combination of tea and a metal object in vinegar will produce a black stain. Log this away for later.

Shower cleaner - just vinegar and Dawn dish soap... worth a try! It says, "powerful cleaning product that will melt soap scum and tub and shower buildup, clean sinks, appliances and just about anything. Just spray it on, scrub, rinse and be amazed. Homemade Window Cleaner ~ going to make this today. Will let you know how turns out. ~ OK, so I tried this today and it was awesome! I put a few drops of Dr Bronner's Castile soap in, too (just because I had it and figured it wouldn't hurt). I'll never buy Windex again! No streaks and crystal-clear windows!

One pinner said "BEST soap scum remover!!" Make a vinegar "gel" by thickening vinegar with cornstarch. The vinegar CLINGS to what ever you spray it on...thus gives it more time to work. A little detergent cuts grease. Heat 1 cup of vinegar and 1 T corn starch in the microwave for 2 minutes. Add 2 T dish detergent and put it in a spay bottle. Spray. Wait 1hr. Wipe. Rinse. #homemade #cleaning

Add orange peels (or any citrus peel) to a quart of white vinegar in a closed container and let it set for two weeks. Combine citrus/vinegar solution half/half with water and use for cleaning. Works on floors, tile, fixtures, etc. Smells good and is tough on scum! Best of all there are no chemicals.
