Mason Jar Wall Planters - This amazing idea from Not Just A House Wife uses hanging mason jars as an indoor herb garden! This idea isnt just limited to a herb garden you could also use it for storage or decorations, and I think it would work especially well for storing bathroom supplies.

Indoor Herb Garden - no instructions on the website, but it's pretty self explanatory. I am thinking it could be simplified by using a over-the-door shelving unit on a kitchen pantry door.

Mason Jar Herb Garden (hint - put small stones in bottom to allow the dirt to drain and you can monitor how much water is in there.. also for water use either, a long spout watering can, a spritz bottle or just shove a few ice cubes in there, they will water as they melt... no mess) put in a sunny spot so that herbs will thrive!

This would be great in my yard this summer! We did this in our front yard on each side of the door. I used terra cotta orange 12" pots for the base and 8" pots on top. Looks so cute and unique! I love them! I planted blue and white petunias in them to contrast the orange. :)

DIY PLANTERS :: Idea for how to display your indoor herb garden...a cupcake stand! (You can also buy this 20"x28" one @ Mothology for a steep $128)

Indoor Herb Garden. Herbs are small and easy to grow. I have grown basil in my own house. A small basil plant it perfect for a dorm room. This design would work on the door of closet or a space on the wall. Then you and your room mate could top off your salads with fresh herbs or add herbs to a nice cup of tea.

Don't have much space to grow your favorite plants? Try building a vertical garden like this one, designed by Susie Frazier.

Mason jars - consider hanging the jars as shown in the picture but instead of plants, make the solar power lights that are a DIY Project. Could hang them all around the yard on a privacy fence.
