When my high school students ask a question no one in the class knows (including myself), they can put it up on the Google Board. Students can bring back a written answer to one of the questions of their choice each week for extra credit, or whatever incentive you choose. They get really excited when a question comes up that they can put on the board and find out the answer to later...

This is genius: Students "sign out" on a small white board by the door when they leave the classroom so you know at all times who is where! You can make magnetic pictures/words for nurse, library, bathroom, etc. by iris-flower

neat idea: students sign out when they leave the classroom; can also have magnetic pictures/words for nurse, bathroom, etc. so students can put it beside their name so you know exactly where they are

Sub Tub... great to have in your classroom to be prepared for when you need a sub. Contains a Welcome Binder explaining the daily schedule, where things are in the room and anything the sub might need like computer log-in codes. Tub also has hanging folders for each day of the week with emergency lesson ideas, great books, games and other activities to do! Love the way this is set up

Homework incentive: Do your homework the whole week to get a scratch card! To make: Mix silver paint with dishwashing liquid!

What a nice way to reward positive behavior and encourage community and discussion. Perfect for the first few weeks back to school, when soooo much happens!
