Self-portrait, c.1923 by Harold Knight (1874-1961). Harold Knight was a painter of portraits and interiors. He married the painter Laura Johnson in 1903 and spent several years with her in Holland studying the Dutch masters, particularly Rembrandt and Vermeer. He was elected an Associate of the Royal Academy in 1928, and became a Royal Academician in 1937.
