Ceiling - another opportunity to add color if there is something interesting up there. If not, stick with a light neutral to draw attention to other details like bright white crown molding.

Sheer Curtains with honeycomb smocking and extra length, ~12". Experiment with smocking placement, either (a) at the top, overlapping both wall and window as in this picture, or (b) with an equal solid space in front of the wall and the band of smocking only over the window.
