    My dream tropical garden

  • Lisa Thompson

Tropical Paradise with succulents and palms - This is a different angle of the house I already posted. I was inspired by this house and it gave me the confidence to re-do my front yard landscaping to save water. I got rid of my grass & a lot of high maintenance heavy watering plants and changed it up using succulents and a drip system. Still in the works, but I am having fun as I go and the succulents multiply, so I just break them off & replant, which save a lot of money.

Hot-colored flowers—coral aloe, chartreuse euphorbia, lipstick pink grevillea, and, yes, kangaroo paws again (this time in bright orange)—add punch to the outer garden, while a judicious splash of blue Senecio mandraliscae tones down the heat.
