awesome tutorial for "glazing" when refinishing furniture. been wanting to do this forever and finally got the stuff to do it! can't wait!!

I used homemade chalk paint (1 cup latex and 1/4 cup baking soda). The paint color I used is called Posh Red by Valspar and I used a glaze to darken it a little. I added new hardware from Hobby Lobby, distressed along the edges and and sealed with Johnson's Paste Wax.

Why Sea Salt is Becoming the ‘Chameleon’ Color You Can’t Say No To

What I love about Sea Salt (SW 6204), by Sherwin-Williams, is that it is a chameleon of a color. It’s blue, gray, and green, all at the same time. This means, it presents itself differently, depending on the room lighting and surroundings. Here are some examples.

The Paint On My Walls

Valspar’s “Seine” – a deep mushroom gray color with a little chocolate brown in it too.

I love the red island with the black cabinets; I believe I'm going with rustic cherry in chocolate with an ebony glaze for the main cabinets; Vintage Cardinal for the island and Vintage Onyx for the plate rack/cupboard unit Kitchen, Classically Traditional, Photo 1 - KraftMaid Photo Gallery

ANTIQUING FURNITURE 1 part of Min Wax's Dark Walnut with 2 parts Valspar's Clear Mixing Glaze. #1 paint your item your desired color #2 Distress it. I wanted white to show through so I first primed it and then painted the pink over the top. #3 Brush your above mixture all over. paint on the stain glaze mixture and then wipe it off.
