Theme Songs From The 60's Every since I had been a little girl I was always intrigued by old re-runs and songs, I used to memorize them and either hum or sing them throughout the years. PETTICOAT JUNCTION - Forget about your cares, it time to relax at the junction!! That's Uncle Joe he's a movin kinda slow, at the junction Petticoat Junction :-)
There's uncle Joe he's a moving kinda slow at the junction, "Petticoat Junction" Took place in fictional "Hooterville" wonder if they had a "Hooters" there??
The original theme (with the original girls) to Petticoat Junction (1963-70, CBS). Theme by Curt Massey. The song makes no bones about the show's sex appeal (‘lotsa curves, you bet...’) as it shows the daughters pop up from a bath in the water tower.
PETTICOAT JUNCTION ... Come ride the little train that is rolling down the tracks to the junction. (Petticoat Junction) Forget about your cares, it is time to relax at the junction. (Petticoat Junction) Lotsa curves, you bet. Even more when you get To the junction, Petticoat Junction. There's a little hotel called the Shady Rest at the junction. (Petticoat Junction) It is run by Kate, come and be her guest at the junction. (Petticoat Junction) (Cont. in comment section)
Petticoat Junction (1963-1970) CBS ~ The setting for the series is the Shady Rest Hotel run by a woman, her uncle, and three daughters, located outside the farming town of Hooterville. The hotel is situated on the train line of the C. & F.W. Railroad, about halfway between the towns of Pixley and Hooterville. The youngest daughter, Betty Jo, was skilled at driving the train. As a train engineer was traditionally a man's job, train company executives (and presumably the audience) were shocked...

The Uncle played in many of the first and second season episodes of Green Acres. The only character on Petticoat Junction that I thought was obnoxious! Not a role example for sure! Otherwise - this show was zany and a semi-real and entertaining capture of what rural America was believed to encounter along the tracks of backwoods life.
Man, I LOVED this show!

An old water pump. This was how we got water from the farm up on the "Adams farm" when we were enjoying time at the lake with the Cunningham Clan. There was no running water on either site but it didn't feel like "roughing it." I miss the experiences at the cabins with family. Everything felt normal and sane while we were there.
