Geronimo’s Daughter Lenna~~Beautiful daughter of Geronimo c.1900. - Lena Geronimo was born in 1886 in Fort Marion, St. Augustine, FL, while her father was a prisoner there. The medical staff gave her the name Marion, after the fort, but she took the name Lenna upon returning to the Southwest. Lenna Geronimo, the daughter of Geronimo and wife Ih-tedda, a Mescalero Apache, was the full sister of Robert Geronimo, Geronimo's only living son. Lenna was Bedonkohe-Mescalero.

"Geronimo is said to have had magical powers. He could see into the future, walk without creating footprints and even hold off the dawn to protect his own. This Apache Indian warrior and his band of 37 followers defied federal authority for more than 25 years."

This picture is of Whirling Horse. I consider this photograph to be a classic, and shows the man with full head dress, buckskin clothing, and blanket. It is believed that Whirling Horse was a member of a Wild West Show, possibly Buffalo Bill Cody's. So, in looking at the picture we must wonder whether this is the way he looked as a traditional Indian person, or whether this is how Buffalo Bill told him he should dress for the show.

Bonnie and Clyde were ambushed in this car by TX. Ranger Mike Hammer and posse. Clyde was arrested in the beginning and put in the Hill Co. Jail. He dug out with a spoon, vowed never to be taken again. He shot his way out of several attempts at arrest killing several officers. So they were given no warning, no quarter. The Ranger Museum is here in Waco next to Baylor University.
