blueberry + chocolate cupcakes: blueberries, chocolate, ganache, and a sprinkling of unicorn dust, I'm sure. I made these years ago for a friend's birthday. They looked lovely, and they're so... fresh looking even though it's chocolate, which doesn't exactly scream fresh to me.
I love the work of Sara Ghedina. Here Italian sensibilities scream from her work. •WHY I LOVE THIS: It's a basic pie shot, but sooo much more. The lighting is beautiful, sure. I love the layering of the fabric under the pie. NOTE: IF IN DOUBT, LAYER. The pie is perfectly browned and there's no need to cut into it with the blueberry juice oozing from the top. Beautiful picture!
caramel apple crisp. Added lemon juice to apples along with a dash of sea salt. Used pumpkin pie sauce in place of caramel sauce. 1 1/2 x topping. Baked on convection for 45 min. 8 small mountain apples peeled, cored and sliced.
