Well, I can dream that I'll be taking pictures of another baby someday - Wonderful newborn photo tips and great list of props.

I bought a cute blue vintage suitcase recently and am def doing this for Baby Boy's newborn pics...will pile a pretty fluffy blanket out the side though (poor babe in this one looks uncomfortable!)

Many newborn photos are photoshopped, just like this one. Don't ever do something to put a baby in danger. Photoshop is much easier and safer. ;)

This entire Flickr stream is nothing but "how-to's" and tips for posing and editing newborn photos.

Communicating that with the parents is key, so I give them a prep list prior to my arrival. It looks like this:

Safety first! Remember, it may be photoshopped so don't try this at home (this goes for hammocks too).

Composite. Never hang baby up in the air. Do pose over a beanbag and edit it out.

I've never wanted to shoot a newborn before. This image might just sway me.

Amazing how this photographer was able to get the face, hands, and feet all together in one small frame. Just beautiful composition on this one!
