Japanese pot holders. Inspired by these, made three scrappy placemats. Love them since every one holds pieces of fabric that was I sewed for my daughter (pretty much all long outgrown).

Make this coaster in just a few minutes from one square of fabric! The trick is all in how the square is folded before you stitch each seam.

This is exactly why I save every scrap... I just didn't realize I would actually find a use for them- until now.
