Great homemade Salsa: 2 cans of diced tomatoes 1 little can of diced green chilis 1/2 bunch cilantro chopped 1 clove of garlic minced or garlic powder 3-4 whole green onion (stem included) chopped up Couple shakes of red pepper flakes 1 tsp of salt Blend it all together minus the tomatoes, then add the tomatoes and blend a little to mince the tomatoes. Add some great tortilla chips and great looking avocados!
Alton Brown's homemade sour cream & onion dip is fantastic--I used 1 Tbsp. olive oil instead of 2, used nonfat sour cream and black pepper instead of white and it was still a winner. Serve with potato chips or cut veggies.
Scones with Clotted Cream; Alton Brown's version. I made these today. They were awesome! The dough is not too wet, especially after resting in the frig for an hour or overnight. There is not too much salt or baking powder. I increased sugar to half cup, and used dried cherries and slivered almonds. I didn't roll them out and cut; I just dropped them by spoonfuls on the parchment lined baking sheet. And I sprinkled them with coarse sugar before baking.
French Onion Chicken Noodle Casserole...made this last night, for a creamier hotdish use less noodles and i would suggest shredded chicken instead of diced or chopped chicken. Over all a crowd pleaser.
