Like hell it will. This is the most f*d up view ever. It'd be a different story if the "pain" was towards some actual physical fitness goal - being able to run a 5k or a 10k or a marathon or even a mile, being able to do pull ups or a super-bendy yoga pose. But I'm pretty sure pain shouldn't be involved in weight loss - if you're so hungry it's painful, you're doing dieting wrong.
