I have the lovely vase on bottom shelf, far right, front ~ c 1945. Not Depression Glass, but a vintage glass collector's dream... Anchor Hocking's Fire-King ware in popular Jade-ite, from the 1940s-50s. Hard to find older pieces since Martha Stewart popularized it, & reproductions are plentiful, so do your research if you want to collect this.

Be it Fire King Jadeite or Anchor Hocking Jadite, they both began in humble beginnings as a giveaway item in boxes of oatmeal or premiums and promotional items from gasoline stations to groceries stores. The amount of Fire King and Anchor Hocking produced was in the millions and is as easy to find as it is collectible. I adore ♥ mine. Never too late to start a new collection!

bellisimo! Wouldn't it be great fun to be able to paint something this color? Probably wouldn't fly in the Boise development where we live...

Green jadite-- thanks a lot, Martha Stewart, for making me desire something I didn't know existed

I know it looks like your Granny's tea set, but super durable, and kitschy, as overplayed as that is, I love it!

Love the deco shakers. The black and jadeite color combining is something you'd see in an episode of "Poirot."

Jadite - My mother in law has saved up quite the collection for me, which I am eager to one day have on display. :)
