DIY Wall Art: Melted Crayon Canvases Glue crayons onto a canvas in any design you want. Wait 5 minutes for the glue to dry. Prop your canvas up and turn your blow dryer to the highest setting. Move the dryer slowly over the crayons. As they melt, they will begin to slide down the canvas creating some sort of rainbow pattern. Once the crayons are melted, leave the canvas propped up for about 20 minutes so that the crayon wax can continue to slide down the canvas and dry.
My own efforts at melted crayon art for our daughter... Board is the normal backing to the picture frame. Painted with white chalk paint. Letter and umbrella blanks cut out of cardboard and the rest is obvious from the pics.
