Back to school. Love it! I read this book every year. I met the author and she looks exactly like the main character. The funny thing is her she never met her illustrator and vice versa. She didn't see the pictures for her book until the final stages! :)

I think that this would be an excellent get-to- know-you activity for students that can also serve as wall art! I want a classroom that feels like a community so ideally I want everyone to get to know their peers and become comfortable with each other.

Create this on my own. Pass out M on the first day during table work time. Depending on which color they have they must answer a question. You can do this activity through out the year changing up the questions!
