"homemade shampoo: use a clear bottle. Add some castile soap. Add water to roughly equal 3-4 x the original volume (just eyeball it, then shake the whole thing up). When you start this, your hair will feel greasier than ever. That’s because your scalp is still used to being washed with engine degreaser, so it takes a little time (about a week) for it to settle down and stop producing so much oil. After an adjustment period though, it’s all good."

Make your own shampoo and conditioner for the healthiest hair you've ever had! My hair has never looked better!!!

Linen Spray: I recently came across a wonderful recipe for homemade linen spray at Hallmark magazine of all places and had to share because it's so simple and customizable. It's also an ideal way to infuse the scent of an endless Summer into your bedroom. Spritz a bit onto your sheets or onto your clothes as you're ironing, or spray it into the air to use it like a room spray.

Homemade shampoo, I have been using this with an apple cider vinegar rinse for six months now. I will never go back to store bought again:)

I've tried homemade shampoos before (worked alright but smelled awful --I am excited about these ones!) and what I found effective was to store it in a spray bottle rather than a jar. I would mist it over my head and then massage it into a lather. Pouring it on always ended up with using too much!

HOME MADE COCONUT SHAMPOO 1/2 cup coconut milk 2/3 cup castile soap (I used Dr. Brooner's brand) 40 drops essential oil (I used jasmine) 2 teaspoons olive oil Combine all the ingredients in an empty shampoo bottle or jar and shake. I used a funnel to pour ingredients in the empty bottle. You can keep it in the shower for one to two months. Shake well before each use.
