I love Dr Maya Angelou’s work as it empowers me to speak truth through my poetry writing and it reminds me to be fearless in the way that I project my voice on paper and through my poetry performances.  She is truly an inspiration to me! I have a old soul. Poetry, art, music and history moves me. I have a passion for literature and art. I admire the elderly and often times I feel like I connect better with them then my own peers. I enjoy learning about the past to better my future.

I have admired this woman for years. She is one of the people I'd choose to be with me on a deserted island, have dinner with or hang out with for a day. Actually, she is number 1 on the list!
